It's a sale in which everything in the house is sold -- furniture and appliances, antiques and collectibles, clothing and linens, even what's in the cupboards. You remove anything you wish to keep, and we sell the rest.
Tamara's Estate Sales conducts sales for people who are moving or downsizing. We also help anyone who wants to sell the entire contents of a home or apartment.
Once we reach an agreement and you are ready to proceed, Tamara's Estate Sales will come in and price everything. This may take from 3 days to 3 weeks depending on the situation and the size of the sale. We then schedule a date for the sale which will provide the best exposure at the earliest opportunity.
First, we prepare a list of what you have for sale and mail it to more than 250 serious local buyers about two weeks in advance. Second, we advertise in the local newspaper the week of the sale. Third, during the sale, we post signs that point the way to passing motorists. In addition, all sales are promoted on this website, as well as on www.EstateSales.Net.
These methods allow us to reach the maximum audience of both regular buyers and casual shoppers.
We typically conduct the sales over three days - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Items are sold at full price (the price we set) on Thursday. This ensures that the items that are at the greatest demand bring the highest price. On Friday, merchandise is sold at 25% off the marked price. On Saturday, the merchandise is marked down 50% of the marked price. Our system works because it generates the maximum price while selling everything that can be sold.
In our experience, few things will be left over. At your discretion, anything that remains may be returned to you, donated to charity, or in some cases, retained and sold at one of our subsequent sales.
We dispose of anything left over, then clean the house top to bottom and leave it in 'ready-for-market' or 'move-in' condition. You don't have to lift a finger; we handle everything!
Tamara's Estate Sales will send you a check the following Monday so you never have to wait.
Just call us at 309.662.3838 and leave a message. We'll call you back the next day to set up an appointment, at your convenience, to go over the details and, at your request, begin the process for your whole-house sale.
